Bosses, Equipped Items and Drops... - Guild Wars Forums

Hi,

I've been killing this naga boss: Sskai, Dragon's Birth for ages now for Sskai's Sword (green sword). But sometimes he spawns with the Sskai's Sword equipped, and sometimes he wields other weapons.

Does anyone know if the equipped item of a boss makes any difference in the drop?

Like...

Is it certain the Sskai's Sword will drop if he wears it?
Will he only drop the sword if he has it equipped?
Will he not drop the Sskai's Sword if he has other weapons equipped?

etc...

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

From my experience, if the boss is holding the item, he will drop it. The was true both times I recieved Wing's Axe. He never dropped it unless he had it in his hand.
If you are bringing henchmen with you, it is possible that the sword is dropping for them and not you if the boss has the green in his hand.
